Terms of Service

Last updated: July 6, 2026

The terms that govern Dckrd accounts, identity services, organization workspaces, developer tools, subbrands, and pre-release product experiences.

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your use of Dckrd services, including Dckrd ID, account access, sign-in, organization administration, developer tools, OAuth and OpenID Connect flows, websites, APIs, hosted applications, and product experiences released under Dckrd or a Dckrd subbrand.

By creating an account, signing in, joining an organization, registering an application, using a hosted product, or accessing a pre-release service, you agree to these terms. If you use the services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Operator and contracting status

Dckrd is currently a pre-launch brand and project. References to Dckrd, we, us, or our mean the Dckrd project and its operator(s), unless a signed agreement identifies a specific legal entity.

Before Dckrd accepts paid public customers or makes a service generally available, we expect to publish the contracting legal entity, registered address, and any required representative details. We may assign these terms and service operation to that entity or another affiliate, successor, or subbrand operator as the business is formed.

If a separate order form, enterprise agreement, data processing addendum, or written contract applies, that document controls where it conflicts with these online terms.

3. Services covered

The services may include identity and access tools, OAuth client management, organization workspaces, developer APIs, link and resolver services, media, messaging, event, streaming, ingest, search, automation, AI-assisted, network intelligence, personal productivity, and enterprise evidence or operations products.

Some products may be released under subbrands or project names. Unless separate terms are published for a product, these terms apply to those Dckrd-operated services.

4. Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping authentication factors, recovery methods, devices, and administrative access current.

Dckrd may require additional verification before sensitive actions, including account recovery, credential changes, organization administration, OAuth client changes, data export, and data deletion requests.

  • Use accurate account, organization, billing, and developer information.
  • Protect passwords, passkeys, one-time codes, recovery methods, API keys, OAuth credentials, and administrative access.
  • Notify us promptly at security@dckrd.com if you believe an account, session, client credential, organization resource, or API token has been compromised.

5. Organizations and managed users

Organizations may manage members, verified domains, roles, application registrations, access policies, evidence workspaces, and other resources. Organization administrators are responsible for settings they configure and users they invite, provision, remove, or supervise.

If your account is associated with an organization, that organization may receive information about your membership, access status, role, and activity within organization-controlled resources.

6. Developer and OAuth use

Developer tools and OAuth clients must be used in a way that protects users, respects consent, and follows applicable laws, platform requirements, and the acceptable-use rules in these Terms.

You are responsible for redirect URIs, client metadata, secrets, token handling, user-facing disclosures, requested scopes, consent screens, and any application that connects to Dckrd identity services through your configuration.

  • Do not misrepresent an application, publisher, scope request, redirect URI, security posture, or consent screen.
  • Do not collect, retain, or disclose data beyond what users authorize and your application reasonably requires.
  • Rotate credentials and revoke access promptly when compromise or misuse is suspected.

7. Evidence, finance, tax, and legal workspaces

Some Dckrd or subbrand services may help organizations organize evidence, records, ledger activity, financial claims, legal entities, controls, tax organizer workpapers, audit history, and related workflows.

These services are tools for organizing, inspecting, and operating records. They are not a law firm, accounting firm, tax adviser, investment adviser, broker, bank, insurer, or fiduciary, and they do not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, compliance, or professional advice.

User-entered values, classifications, calculations, summaries, and agent-prepared outputs are assumptions or workpapers until reviewed and accepted by responsible people and, where appropriate, qualified professional advisers.

8. AI-assisted features

Dckrd services may include AI-assisted search, classification, drafting, summarization, extraction, recommendations, or agent-prepared actions. AI outputs can be incomplete, wrong, outdated, or unsuitable for your use case.

You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them, sending them, filing them, making business decisions from them, or using them in regulated, legal, tax, financial, employment, safety, health, or other high-impact contexts.

9. Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of content, records, evidence, prompts, files, messages, configurations, code, metadata, and other materials you submit to the services. You grant Dckrd the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, secure, back up, troubleshoot, and improve the services for you and your organization.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload, process, share, and instruct Dckrd to handle the content you provide, including personal data, confidential information, financial records, communications, and third-party materials.

10. Privacy and data protection

The Privacy Policy at /privacy explains how Dckrd handles personal data, cookies, and similar technologies.

For organization or enterprise use, Dckrd may act as a processor or service provider for customer-controlled content and as a controller for account, security, billing, product, and operational data. A signed enterprise agreement or data processing agreement may provide more specific terms.

11. Acceptable use

You may not misuse Dckrd services, interfere with service operation, attempt unauthorized access, bypass rate limits or security controls, probe systems without permission, or use the services to harm people, organizations, infrastructure, or lawful rights.

12. Beta and pre-release services

Many Dckrd services are pre-release, experimental, or under active development. Beta services may change, break, lose features, have incomplete documentation, or be discontinued.

Do not use beta services for production, regulated, safety-critical, or irreversible decisions unless a separate written agreement expressly allows that use and you have appropriate independent controls.

13. Fees and paid services

Some services may later require payment. Fees, taxes, renewal terms, cancellation rights, usage limits, support levels, and service commitments will be stated in the applicable order form, checkout flow, or written agreement.

If no paid terms are presented, access is for evaluation, testing, internal development, or pre-release use only.

14. Third-party services

The services may interoperate with third-party services, infrastructure providers, models, APIs, payment processors, hosting providers, identity providers, repositories, data sources, or applications. Your use of third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

Dckrd is not responsible for third-party services outside our control, including content, availability, security, or changes made by those providers.

15. Dckrd rights

Dckrd and its licensors retain all rights in the services, software, interfaces, designs, documentation, trademarks, logos, and other materials we provide. These terms do not grant you ownership of Dckrd intellectual property.

Feedback you provide may be used without restriction or compensation, but we will not use your confidential customer content as public marketing material without permission.

16. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe there is misuse, security risk, legal risk, non-payment where applicable, violation of these terms, or conduct that could harm Dckrd, users, organizations, third parties, or service operation.

You may stop using the services at any time and may request account deletion through supported account controls. Some records may remain where needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backup recovery, dispute resolution, or organization-controlled retention.

17. Disclaimers and liability

Dckrd services are provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, error-free results, complete accuracy, or that every defect will be corrected immediately.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dckrd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or expected savings.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights where those rights apply.

18. Indemnity

If you use the services on behalf of an organization, that organization will defend and indemnify Dckrd against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from its content, applications, integrations, instructions, misuse of the services, or violation of these terms, except to the extent caused by Dckrd's own unlawful conduct.

19. Governing law and launch updates

The governing law, forum, contracting entity, and formal notice address for paid or generally available services will be identified in the applicable order form, written agreement, or an updated version of these terms before customer launch.

Until then, these terms are intended to support evaluation, testing, pre-release access, and transparent product development.
